soooooo what do we think about Solange’s style now? 

Remember when her stuff used to be like, way off base and you could tell she was trying too hard?  I still kind of this she is making a conscious effort to look different with her fashion choices but now it does seem to be a bit more authentic to her personality.  Now, I don’t really get the “stop comparing me to Beyonce I am her little sister but I am different from her in so many ways see, look at my outfit and my hair, look I’m so different and I am my own person” vibe.

Also, I’m seeing more and more looks on her that I want to replicate.

Not gonna lie, I’m not really a fan of the beading but she does look beautiful.  I can see her and Oprah are fans of the off the shoulder dress (and I mean, I get it) and congrats on her win :)  she has been around for a long time

I see George Clooney and his new boo thang of the month are trying to battle with Brangelina….nice try and a valiant effort, but NO

Loves this dress from the waist up. The waist down looked like a doily and the entire thing was just a bit too much laser cutting for my taste

Mary J. Blige x Michael Kors

she wears this to every single event…sometimes without feathers to spice it up….

She does look amazing but I wish she would switch it up sometimes

Look Meryl, like I know you basically OWN the best actress category of any award show (except the MTV and/or BET awards but whatevs) but you can’t just tra-la-la your way through these things like it isn’t a big deal. 

It’s a big deal to everyone else and we know it’s nothing to you, but you can’t just flounce around the joint in some sort of cotton/silk blend dress with pockets, buttons down the front and cutouts….you can’t!!!

this chick has got some curves.  Love the color but something about the dress is WRONG.  Kinda like when you see girls try and grease their way into an Herve but like, the bandage is all wrong on their body….I mean, this totally isn’t that bad and don’t get me wrong I LOVE LOVE Tina Fey…but I kinda wish someone else would dress her and not the people who have been attempting to dress her for award shows the past umpteenth times

Kate Beckinsale x Roberto Cavalli

ugh. beautiful.  I want to hate her but I just look like a hater for hating…AND I’m definitely going to see Underworld too (it looks so good but it should be bad but those movies are always good…and of course she looks amazing in them)

Madonna x Reem Acra

congrats on the win but she gets no love for this horrific dress.  Also, I see you tryna bring back the fingerless gloves honey boo boo child. STOP.

Nicole Ritchie x Julien Macdonald

Her new boobs look good in this dress.  Love this whole new tiny implant trend that’s running around town…. not totally a fan of the dress but it does have a cool art deco feel and shows of her new purchase(s) perfectly.  The hair was bomb too…not sure why she was there but snaps.

Paula Patton x Monique Lhuillier

Loved the color, hated the dress.  No.  I was not a fan of this one annnnd we basically found out that Paula kinda plays herself in all her films which is cute but not really cute but she’s so damn sweet and pretty that you can’t really hate but then you secretly do but don’t tell anyone so you don’t look like an asshole

Viola Davis x Emilio Pucci

gahhhh LOVING THIS LOOK.  You know that Mac blush that they basically tell every black girl to get?  What’s the color? Raisin? Yeah I think it’s raisin.  I feeeeel like this whole outfit was brought to you by the color raisin by Mac.  The look is stunning and this LEG ova ‘heah is the perfect bit of sass.  Are her nails midnight blue or am I just colorblind?  I hope they’re midnight blue, I would love that.  Sad she didn’t win but really what can you do when you’re nominated with Meryl?  You just kind of have to take the loss and keep it moving.
